The first press conference announcing the opening of the 19th Belgrade Dance Festival was held today, 3 March 2022, in ceremonial hall of National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. The festival will be held from 16 March to 12 April 2022, under the slogan ’We believe in one game’, starting with the opening performance by the famous ballet company – Lines Ballet from San Francisco.
As in previous years, D2P is proud to support the festival this year as well. It is an honor to have the opportunity to be a part of such a magnificent event.
Numerous guests from public, cultural and political life of Serbia, the ambassadors of the countries that support the festival, friends of festival and media representatives attended today’s conference. The conference was opened by Mr. Ivica Dačić, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and Ms. Maja Gojković, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Serbia.
Ms. Aja Jung, the founder and director of Belgrade Dance Festival, greeted all gathered guests and expressed her gratitude for the selfless support they’ve been providing all these years to the festival.
Under the slogan ‘We believe in one Dance’, the nineteenth edition the Belgrade Dance Festival is gathering top artists, and the topics that authors are bringing analyze modern society using the richest and most diverse vocabulary of the unique movement.
Thanks to this Festival, Belgrade has become an important spot in the biography of artists who create trends in the field of dance and theater, a place where new productions are discovered, and where well-known and young authors are represented with equal attention.
